Pros and cons of Touch Goal (Goals/Habits Tracker) - Manage Your Everyday Life app for iPhone and iPad

Touch Goal (Goals/Habits Tracker) - Manage Your Everyday Life app good for

Its really fantastic app, I was searching for months in AppStore for something like this. Im just hoping UI will get some improvements, specially on retina display this app looks very fuzzy.
This is the app that I have been looking for since I got the phone 6 months ago. It allows you to keep track of both your goals and your vices in a very simple and effective way that lets you keep track of how youre doing, as well as remind you what you need to do. This application is also being actively developed, with new features coming out regularly. I cant say enough good about this app. I showed it to my fiancee, and she got an iPhone because of it. She showed a friend, and now he wants an iPhone. Its that good!
Great app. Probably the best app out there when it comes to functionality an asthetics. Get it while its on sale!
The other goal management app that caught my eye was Daily Tracker. Im using both side by side now but I prefer TG interfaces habits overview. TG is also more customable, changable fonts & custom backgrounds. The negative is that it can be sluggish at times. DT is more refined, more elegant. However, it is less flexible, with only a sparkline graph to track your habit. For normal yes/no habit tracking, sparkline graph is not all that useful. DT also takes a lot more steps to input your daily habit. All in all, both are great apps but Im leaning towards TG.
I thought Id wait a month before I reviewed this, so I could make a better judgement on its effectiveness. All I can say is that its made a huge positive difference for me. It isnt the first goal-tracking system Ive tried by a long shot, but for some reason its working. Easy to use, like the graphs, even appreciate the quotes. I personally dont bother with the notes feature. Thanks for the great app!
Lets you see and track your goals for the week in a simple, no fuss way. I find it very useful!

Some bad moments

I bought this as reviews were good. However disappointed with limited functionality. You can not set long term goals with activities assigned to them. View is limited to a week. Would be good to have a calendar aligned with iPhone. Other aps have more functionality for the same price.
It doesnt store anything I try to enter. And has this annoyig push notification which I have no idea what its for. I want a refund! Misleading reviews. Argh!!! So disappointing!
It doesnt save goals. Everytime i go back into it, its all mixed up or erased. Dont waste your money. Wish i spent mine on one that actually works
Its not to say the developers intention isnt there but... I personally dont find the interface user friendly. The process is long and tedious in order to type in your goals. The developer gives us ALOT of options which has its merits but that can clutter things. It is expensive for what it is but the developer provides the app with a lot of options so maybe that is why the price tag is so high. I will give it one more week. I will be honest. Do not take this application unless you yourself are a perfectionist and you want to tediously input and fiddle with options.
I was looking for a simple goal tracker that would allow me to view my progress by month AND allow more than just binary (yes/no) categories. Sometimes I want to track more than yes/no, but quantities also (e.g. how many minutes I ran). The inconsistencies that I find the most frustrating are all linked to the monthly view. Most of the time when I select the monthly view from the menu it kicks me out to my iPhone homepage. In the rare occassions that it actually opens the monthly view it seems to default to show the earliest year (1581). I wasnt tracking goals in 1581. Then to find my recent goals I have to wheel through to select the year Im interested in. Additionally, the menu text is so unfocused that the app feels cheap compared to the clarity and sharpness provided by others. Ive never written an app review before, because Ive never used an app that was so inconsistent and frustrating. I dont know of a good alternative for goal tracking that allows monthly views and quantities, but please dont waste your money on this one like I did.
Constantly resents the date to 1851. would like option for number ie how long or far I ran, and the ability to give myself a negative score for goals not done on a required day. I give myself points towards a monthly "treat", and I set positive goals, so my goal run, and not selecting that a ran a certain day does not give me a negative score. With a few changes could be a excellent app.
